Macro

We've just experienced an eruption of Seven-spot Ladybirds in our garden; there are literally hundreds of them. This has prompted me to dust off my macro lens and flash to try a little macro photography. The gallery below includes both day and night images. The spiders are common Garden and Long-jawed spiders. Macro reveals so much detail that we would otherwise miss completely, from the eyes and spines on the spiders to the coarse hairs protruding through the green armour of the fly. It's a totally fascinating miniature world that could easily become an obsession. I need to go somewhere with incredible bugs.
